We are delighted that your child has been offered a Reception place at Polperro Primary Academy for September.
For those of you whose children already attend our Nursery; thank you for continuing your journey with us, and for those who are new to our school; we welcome you. We are a thriving community and we are very excited to welcome you to our school. We look forward to getting to know your child when they start with us in September.
As a school, we are committed to smooth and timely transitions that allow the children to settle in, get to know their teachers and make new relationships with their friends. We fully believe that parents and carers play a key role in this transition. You will be receiving a phone call very soon from Mrs Counsell, one of your child's teachers, which will set out our transition plan so that you know exactly what to expect in September. We have created information for you to look at on our Website under the Starting Reception tab which you will find under the Information Tab. This will help you to know who is who is who in your child’s class. Please have a look at the rest of our website where you can find out more about our school and follow us on Facebook (search for Polperro Primary Academy).
If possible, we would still like to carry out home visits in the first week of the Autumn Term; however, we will let you know if we are able to do this.
We are really excited about seeing you all in September.
Mrs Anthea Hillman
Head of School, Polperro Primary Academy
At the moment we are unable to offer our usual transition visits to our school so we have made a short book for you to begin to get to know Polperro School and see some of the fun learning activities we do in our class.
There is also a Bridge Schools Ready to Start School guide attached below to help you to prepare your child for school.
Please complete this questionnaire (attached below) and return it to us by email to email@example.com
